Yale study links fracking to cancer

The Pennsylvania Medical Society urges a moratorium on new drilling and more study of public health impacts. 

Methane emissions from oil and gas operations, alongside toxic co-pollutants, is leading to the formation of ground-level ozone that exacerbates asthma in children and lung and heart disease in the elderly and less advantaged. Studies have found carcinogenic and neurotoxic chemicals near drilling sites and have linked gas drilling to air, water and land contamination.   Read More >
