PennFuture released the following statement in reaction to the passage of House Bill 1808:
"For the second time in two days, the state Senate has approved a bill championed by industry that weakens rules and regulations meant to keep us safe from pollution," said PennFuture President and CEO Jacquelyn Bonomo. "The time is now to reduce our carbon footprint, to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, and to break our addiction to single-use plastics. House Bill 1808 would do the exact opposite, which is why we call on Gov. Wolf to veto this bad bill."
