We are thrilled to partner with U.S. Sen Bob Casey on a roundtable discussion in Philadelphia on Sept. 24 regarding the senator’s important “REVIVE the CCC” Act, which as the name suggests, would revive the Depression-era Civilian Conservation Corps!
The roundtable will feature an impressive slate of federal, state and local dignitaries who will discuss what a revived Civilian Conservation Corps could mean for Philadelphia, as well as Pennsylvania and our nation as a whole. Senator Casey will also discuss how his legislation will advance our nation’s efforts to tackle the climate crisis while creating well-paying, quality conservation jobs that protect and restore the health and resiliency of our local communities.
The roundtable discussion is unfortunately not open to the public because of COVID-19 restrictions, but that doesn’t mean you can’t participate. Simply log on to PennFuture’s Facebook page at 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 24 to watch the program!
