Registration Requirements 

To register in Pennsylvania, you must be:

  • A citizen of the United States for at least one month before the next primary, special, municipal or general election.
  • A resident of Pennsylvania and the election district in which you want to register and vote in for at least 30 days before the next primary, special, municipal or general election.
  • At least 18 years of age on or before the day of the next election.

How to Register

  • You can register online. Be prepared with one of the following:
  • PA Driver’s License
  • PennDOT ID
  • Social security number and the ability to upload a signature

Vote By Mail

Act 77 of 2019 allowed Pennsylvania’s registered voters to request a mail-in ballot for any or no reason.
