Cool Pennsylvania - Stopping Global Warming Here at Home

Global warming is real and getting worse. We are already experiencing melting ice caps, rising sea levels, emerging killer diseases like West Nile virus, the extinction of hundreds of species and heat-related human deaths have doubled. The time to study the problem is past - we must take action now.

Pennsylvania contributes one percent of all the pollution that causes global warming -- more than 101 developing countries combined. Pennsylvania produces more greenhouse gases than 47 states - only California and Texas produce more. We need to do our part in reducing our use of energy made by old outdated coal- and oil-fired power plants, and to call on our leaders for major changes right now from industry and government.

What can you do? You can help stop global warming at home, and keep Pennsylvania cool for our future generations. But individuals can take the first step and sign the petition to Governor Rendell.
