Joy Bergey, previously PennFuture's global warming outreach coordinator, now serves as the organization's federal policy manager. Based in southeast Pennsylvania, she tracks proposed legislation in Congress on global warming, clean energy, and Chesapeake Bay-related water quality issues.

Bergey is especially interested in working in the faith community on global warming. She works with both the Pennsylvania Interfaith Climate Change Campaign and the Center for the Celebration for Creation (in Philadelphia).

Bergey graduated with a degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania and has been active in many environmental issues over the years. She is on the Montgomery County Advisory Committee on Climate Change. Bergey also serves on Environmental Advisory Commission of Springfield Township (Montgomery County), and serves on the board of the Neighborhood Interfaith Movement, a Philadelphia social services agency.
